About Me

First and foremost, I’m a writer. I’m crazy about writing. I’ve been writing stories, poems, journals and essays since I was a kid and I have no intention of stopping. I’m always thinking up stories and I love it! I hope my stories are inspiring and that they help to make a positive difference in the world because I think that's really important.

I am the first and current Writer-In-Residence at Herman Melville's beloved Berkshire, Massachusetts home, Arrowhead. That means I have the amazing opportunity to write in Herman Melville's study and look out at the view that inspired his great work, Moby Dick.

I am also a teacher. I have a Master’s degree in Education and I have taught almost every grade level from kindergarten to University. I’ve taught regular subjects and some unusual subjects, such as Mandarin Chinese and ESL.

Now, I’m focusing on combining my love of writing with my love of teaching.

Please have a look around.
